Communion- Prepartion-
At St. John's the Lord's Supper is open to:
  • Those who have been baptized with water in the name of the Triune God
  • Those who confess faith in Jesus Christ, true God and true Man, who died for them on the cross for the forgiveness of their sins and eternal life.
  • Those who confess faith in the real presence of the Sacrament, namely, that the body and blood of Jesus are in, with and under the bread and the wine. 1-Corinthians 11:27-29
  • Those who are penitent sinners, that is, those who have confessed their sins before the Lord and forgive those who have sinned against them.
  • Those who confess the faith of this church, St. John's, at whose altar they are communing. 1 Corinthians 19:17
If you haven't taken communion at St. John's before, please speak with the Pastor or an Elder before the service.
